About the Author
Suzanne Collins was born on August 10, 1962 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is an American television writer and novelist. Before writing The Hunger Games trilogy, she wrote the bestselling series The Underland Chronicles.
As the daughter of a U.S. Air Force officer, Collins moved many times during her younger years. She spent her childhood in the eastern parts of the United States, attending high school at Carver High in Alabama and at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, where she was majored in Theater Arts. After this, she graduated from Indiana University, with a double major in Drama and Telecommunications.
